What BOTH is
BOTH is an evidence-first editorial publication for health and performance decisions. We explain what matters, what the research supports, and what to do next—without affiliate SEO sludge or fabricated authority.
Editorial independence
Commercial relationships influence content prioritization—which topics we cover sooner—never evidence classification, testing status, or editorial conclusions. A product can be listed without affiliate revenue; affiliate revenue never upgrades a claim.
Authorship
Articles name a human author. We do not use anonymous AI bylines or fake reviewer credentials. If a clinician or specialist reviews a page, their name and role appear on the page. If no reviewer exists, we do not imply medical review.
Sourcing hierarchy
BOTH prefers, in order:
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Randomized controlled trials in relevant populations
- Observational human research
- Expert consensus statements and authoritative summaries (e.g. NIH ODS)
- Mechanistic / preclinical research—labeled as such
- Manufacturer documentation—labeled as manufacturer-reported
- Personal anecdote—labeled anecdotal, never causal
Claim verification
Material health and performance claims should trace to a claim ledger entry with source, population, limitations, and last-verified date. BOTH does not fabricate citations, testing, contributors, or credentials.
Trust labels
BOTH separates ingredient evidence, product testing status (untested / founder tested / staff tested), verification status, and commercial status. These dimensions must never be conflated on product cards or in copy.
AI-assisted production
AI may research, organize, draft, edit, and summarize under human review. AI cannot claim personal experience, product testing, credentials, interviews, or medical expertise it does not possess. We do not create fake human aliases presented as independent staff.
Corrections & updates
Pages change when something materially changes: new evidence, corrected claims, partner status, or documented testing. We do not rewrite pages to simulate freshness. Material corrections update the page and last-reviewed metadata.
Affiliate independence
Affiliate revenue supports BOTH. It does not define editorial inclusion. See affiliate disclosure.
What BOTH is not
BOTH is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not publish dosing protocols for restricted compounds, fabricate testing history, or claim outcomes we have not documented.
